I'm a bit of an aficionado of analog strings myself. I recently purchased a 1977-vintage Crumar Orchestrator (Multiman S) that I am having restored. I also own a 1979-vintage Crumar Performer. To me the highest use of analog music sysnthesis is strings because they are so effective at creating a mood. The Italian string machines are "emo" machines unlike any other.
